Sixteen Paleogene benthic foraminiferal species belong to eleven genera from two countries in the west Northern Tethys (Spain and France) have been studied. The modern taxonomical consideration of these species is used and are believed here as new. Nine species of these assemblage (about 56 %) are recorded from France: Parvigenerina bidartensis, Chrysalogonium ganensis, Bolivina ganensis, B. sztrakosae, Praeglobobulimina franciana, Siphogenerinoides multiribata, Nodosarella ganensis, Siphonodosaria franciana and S. sztrákosae. The other 7 species (about 44 %) from Spain: Bolivina spainica, Fursenkoina torrecardelaensis, Nodosarella spainica, Siphonodosaria molinai, Asterigerina alegretae, Valvulineria spainica and Gyroidinoides Riverocuestai. The recorded foraminiferal assemblages of the west Northern Tethys indicates an open marine environment which represents deep ocean and platform.
