The Arabian Plate is a small one surrounded by a large plates: African Plate in the west, Eurasian Plate in the east, Indian Plat, in the south, while another small in the north: Anatolian Plate and Levantine Plate. The studied Latest Danian Event (LDE) in the Arabia and surrounded areas exhibits many lateral and vertical facies changes and regional pattern to the relation between lithostratigraphic and biostratigraphic boundaries across the Danian/Thanetian succession in the two localities: in the north (Jordan) and the also in the south (United Arab Emirates, UAE).
